Hi, I’m Carissa Faxlandez.
I live in Richmond, VA with my husband (Anthony), our daughter (Wilhelmina/Willa), and our millions of pets. Just kidding… we “only” have 4 rescue dogs, 1 rescue cat, and sometimes a foster cat (or kittens!).
I work for Automattic as a Happiness Engineer. More specifically I support WordPress.com users via live chat (I LOVE TO CHAT) and by email.
When I’m not working or caring for the kiddo, I’m volunteer my time to animal rescue groups. I created and manage tmhpr.com for Take Me Home Pet Rescue in Richardson, TX where I used to live. Since moving to the Richmond area I’ve fostered cats/kittens and volunteered for Richmond Animal League which is just down the street!
Once Willa is down for the night, I also LOVE to watch TV with Anthony. You can see what I’m watching in my Trakt profile if you’re interested. In short, some of my favorites are: Doctor Who, Castle, Chuck, and the list goes on…
My other hobbies/obsessions in no particular order are: board games, reading “chick lit”, Taylor Swift, new tech, cleaning/organizing, and traveling (primarily to beaches).
